This parish based effort of providing basic social service connections to mothers in need and their families is based on the nationwide initiative: Walking with Moms in Need. A group of volunteers from parishes throughout Concord, CA, have come together to create a community-building support network consisting of lay members of all ages in faith and action to:
- Provide accompaniment for moms in need
- Connect moms in need with local resources
- Offer a safe meeting space to assist moms in need.
- Raise community awareness of this initiative
